Fox Venturi Eductors

Pneumatic Conveying Venturi Eductors

In operation the Pneumatic Conveying Venturi Eductors convert the output of a blower into suction that is used to entrain and feed powders, pellets, and bulk solids into a pneumatic conveying system. Because the pneumatic conveying Venturi eductors have no moving parts, they can operate almost entirely maintenance-free. 

Pneumatic conveying Venturi Eductors can be fed or placed at the outlet of a hopper and will convey at a specified rate.  Venturi size, placement and line size all determine the actual flow rate.

Ceramic lined or hardened units are provided for abrasive applications.

Fox Valves Venturi Eductors

Fox Valves has been providing Venturi Eductor solutions since 1961. Venturi Eductors are used to feed bulk solids - powders, pellets, flakes, and particulates into pressure, dilute-phase pneumatic conveying systems. Venturi Eductors are commonly used in place of rotary valves where airlocks simply cannot perform adequately.

Plastics Eductors

With no moving parts, a Pneumatic conveying Venturi Eductors is a natural choice for a non-friable product such as plastic pellets.  Virgin, Glass Filled, Reinforced, Scrap and Regrind all convey extremely well with a Fox Venturi system.  Typical applications include conveying from:

Reclaim Eductors

Reclaim systems are implemented  to reduce waste by recapturing your product.  Generally product is conveyed directly into your source system or it can be conveyed to an independent storage hopper.

Rotary Valve Venting

What is Blowback?

Fox Rotary Valve Venturi Eductors enable a retrofit of badly leaking rotary airlocks that cannot be replaced by eductors.  Product can be conveyed back into your conveying line or back to the top of your product silo.

Venting eductors can:

Eliminate blowback
Reduce required maintenance
Increase - sometimes significantly - throughput from existing rotary valves.

Airlocks isolate and dose solids sitting above a positive pressure convey line.
Air from the conveying system inevitably leaks past clearances in the rotors, as well as the pulses of air released as each empty 'pocket' is rotated upwards. This release of air is called blowback.
